Weekly Art Trips with Five Towns Adult Ed begins May 6
"Artist/educator Deb Vendetti has graciously used her extensive art knowledge and network of colleagues to create an exceptional itinerary of weekly Tuesday trips, each with privately guided tours at some of Maine’s most outstanding museums and galleries," said Five Town CSD Adult Ed, in a news release.
Sneak peek highlights:
May 6: Colby College Art Museum, Waterville. Orientation/tour with interpretive docent of the Lunder Teaching Collection and the Alex Katz Wing.
May 13: Bowdoin College Art Museum, Brunswick. Guided tour of Art, Ecology, and the Resilience of a Maine Island: The Monhegan Wildlands by museum co-director and curator Frank Goodyear.
May 20: Arts District, Portland. Guided tour of over fifty artists’ workspaces at the unique artist cooperative Running With Scissors Art Studios by Administrative and Communications Manager Katie Bonadies.
Final week, May 27, will be follow-up presentations by students (with assignments given in advance) and group discussion time at Rose Hall, 22 Knowlton St., Camden.
