Wednesday Waldo Walk goes to Long Cove Headwaters Preserve, Dec. 11
SEARSPORT— All are welcome to join Coastal Mountains Land Trust on a guided hike along the trails of Long Cove Headwaters Preserve in Searsport on December 11. Hikers can meet at the trailhead at 10 a.m. for an out-and-back, early winter walk.
This hike is part of the Wednesday Waldo Walks series. These guided hikes explore different preserves and trails throughout Waldo County. Hike leader and longtime Coastal Mountains Land Trust member Bindy Pendleton will also provide information about the Land Trust’s work to conserve these beautiful natural spaces in Waldo County.

Directions: From Searsport, take Mt. Ephraim Road west (off of Route 1). In 2.6 miles turn right onto Savery Road. Follow for 0.6 miles to the preserve parking lot on the right.
Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 13,000 acres, offering 55 miles of trails for public recreation.
The Coastal Mountains Land Trust’s Waldo County Conservation Initiative seeks to establish a fund to conserve and steward land for wildlife, recreation, outdoor learning, and climate.
