THOMASTON — Watts Hall Community Players announce the cast for its upcoming production of “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown,” to open on Friday, February 24, in Watts Hall, Thomaston.

“You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown is the perfect show for mid-winter and our times,” said the Players, in a news release. “On the one hand, it’s light hearted and humorous, inviting a sense of nostalgia and evoking one’s ‘inner child.’ At the same time, it highlights each character’s individual struggles and how larger friendships provide the crucial support we all need.”

The small cast and crew need crucial support, too, according to the release. They need volunteers to help run lights and sound, be part of the backstage crew, find or make props, build the set, sell tickets, all the behind the scenes work that make a show possible.

“You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown is a ‘small’ show and, as such, is perfect for both experienced theater folks who may not have a lot of time as well as people who have little or no experience at all but who may have thought that at some point they’d like to get involved. To join in the fun in any capacity, contact darylhahn@gmail.com.”

Performances of You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown will be Feb. 24, 25, and March 3 and 4, at 7 p.m.; and a matinee, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m., in historic Watts Hall, 174 Main St, Thomaston.
