THOMASTON - Now through Wednesday and Thursday, January 16 and 17, Thomaston Place Auction Galleries’ “Wanderlust” two-day online auction presents a large collection of fine and decorative items toinspire exploration of diverse cultures, styles, and tastes -- and all with modest opening bids.  It will be conducted simultaneously on three online auction sites: Thomaston Live, LiveAuctioneers, and Invaluable.

This 773-lot sale includes original paintings & sculpture, Asian antiques, collectibles, rare books and documents, pottery, art glass, furniture, silver, folk art, ethnographic artifacts, contemporary & antiquarian prints, and many great decorative pieces.

Items to be sold can be viewed online beginning on December 28.  Participants can register and place pre-auction (or absentee) bids from this date through to the start of the live auction.  When the live auction begins, at 10 a.m. EST on both January 16 and 17, registered participants may bid live online as each item comes up for sale.

To view the catalog, register and place a bid, visit www.thomastonauction.com, and click on the “Wanderlust 2-day Online Only Auction” box on the left side of the home page.  Or, click on the links to www.liveauctioneers.com or www.invaluable.com, to view lots, register, and place bids on those sites.  All three auction bidding platforms have downloadable apps for mobile phones. All participants must register to place bids.  Please call 1-207-354-8141 for further information.

Winning bidders will receive an invoice by email within 24 hours of the auction’s completion.  Items may be picked up at Thomaston Place Auction Galleries (51 Atlantic Highway, US Route 1, Thomaston, ME 04861), or shipping can be arranged.
