Waldo County Sheriff's beat: driving to endanger, disorderly conduct

    BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Jan. 29 - Feb. 12. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. 

    Jan. 29 

    Carlton Munro, 28, of Stockton Springs, was issued a summons for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on Cape Jellison Road in Stockton Springs. 

    Feb. 4

    Eric M. Paquin, 29, of Belfast, was issued a summons for failure to provide proof of insurance on Starrett Drive in Belfast. 

    Feb. 5

    Seth R. Roberts, 26, of Swanville, was issued summonses for an inspection sticker violation and operating after suspension on Searsport Ave in Belfast. 

    Desiree V. Gerriro, 28, of Waldo, was issued summonses for attaching false plates and failure to provide proof of insurance on Morrill Road in Belmont. 

    Feb. 7

    Scott A. Swift, 33, of Northport, was issued a summons for operating after suspension on Main Street in Belfast. 

    Anthony R. Scott, 37, of Waldoboro, was arrested for operating after habitual offender revocation on Route 137 in Waldo. 

    Feb. 8

    Matthew A. Berry, 42, of Knox, was arrested for disorderly conduct and violating conditions of release on Belfast Road in Knox. 

    Feb. 9

    Corey M. Spear, 19, of Hope, was issued summonses for operating after suspension, attaching false plates, and failure to provide proof of insurance on Monroe Highway in Brooks. 

    William C. Whitcomb, 38, of Monroe, was arrested for violation of bail on Wood Lane in Brooks. 

    Feb. 10

    Sergeant Cody Laite responded to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Ryan Road in Northport where the operator of a 2004 Jeep lost control of the vehicle in slushy and snowy road conditions. According to the accident report, the operator stated their vehicle started to fishtail after traveling around a corner, causing the vehicle to travel off the road to the left where it struck a large tree. The driver was initially pinned in the vehicle due to severe front end damage and was transported by ambulance for medical attention after being freed from the vehicle. The driver, who was wearing their seatbelt, reportedly suffered incapacitating injuries to the legs. The vehicle was towed from the scene. 

    Feb. 12

    Kathleen Herrick, 30, of Jackson, was arrested for possession of a schedule Z drug on Mount View Road in Thorndike. 

    Feb. 13

    Allen J. Farrington, 59, of Monroe, was issued summonses for driving to endanger, criminal mischief, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to give notice of an accident by the quickest means, failure to provide proof of insurance, failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle while using a handheld device.
