Waldo County Sheriff’s beat
BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Aug. 20-28. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.
Aug. 24
Keith A. Ioignon, 35, of Warren, was arrested for operating under the influence, operating without a license, failure to give notice of an accident by quickest means, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, and assault on an officer.
Aug. 25
Sarah Rodgers, 33, of Brooks, was issued a summons for speeding 70 mph in a 50 mph zone on Route 7 in Waldo.
Riley Porter, 23, of Monroe, was issued summonses for operating an unregistered motor vehicle (150+ days past expiration), failure to give notice of an accident by quickest means, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident on Frankfort Road in Swanville.
Kergen T. Perkins, 18, of Frankfort, was issued summonses for operating in violation of restriction and illegal consumption of liquor by a minor on Loggin Road in Frankfort.
Corporal Darrin Moody responded to the scene of a single-vehicle accident involving a deer on Swan Lake Ave in Swanville. The driver of the 2018 Ford involved, which was traveling northbound, reportedly stated a deer ran into one of his side mirrors, scaring him and causing him to jerk the steering wheel to the right. As the vehicle left the right side of the road it struck several road signs. The driver was uninjured and the vehicle sustained minor damage.
