Unity man charged with arson
A 20-year-old former Unity resident was arrested Monday and charged with the Dec. 28 fire that destroyed a mobile home on Landry Lane in Unity.
Waldo County Sheriff's deputy Jordan Tozier arrested Addison Duong and charged him with arson, class A. Duong's arrest was the result of an investigation between the WSO and the state Fire Marshal's Office.
According to a press release Tuesday, Duong was interviewed about the fire, and allegedly admitted that he was upset over relationship problems he was having with his girlfriend. He also allegedly admitted intentionally setting the fire that rendered the mobile home a complete loss.
Duong was taken to Waldo County Correctional Center on Jan. 5, where he is being held on $5,000 cash or $25,000 surety bail.
