United Midcoast Charities welcomes new executive director

CAMDEN — Becca Gildred has joined the United Midcoast Charities team as the new executive director, effective April 1.

According to UMC, in a news release, Gildred brings a wealth of experience in the nonprofit world, most recently as Chief Development Officer of Knox County Homeless Coalition for the last eight years.

“Becca’s areas of expertise are development, fundraising, marketing, communications, grant writing, and public relations, all key ingredients to building upon our past successes and moving us forward to become a stronger support to our partner agencies and community,” said UMC. “Guided by Becca’s leadership, UMC eagerly anticipates increasing funding and support to local nonprofits. Becca wholeheartedly embraces our mission and vision and is already positively impacting the organization.
