United Midcoast Charities announces three new Board members

CAMDEN — United Midcoast Charities recently announced the addition of three new Board members, whose diverse professional experiences range from organizational and community development to law.

Melanie Frazek moved to Belfast from Illinois in 2011. With Bar admissions in Illinois, Maine, and the U.S. Supreme Court, her law practice concentrates on estate planning. Additionally, she is an independent hearing officer for two Maine state agencies.

Jim Povec is currently the CEO/Founder of Povec Leadership, an organizational development consulting company providing executive search, executive coaching, and leadership training. Povec founded the Midcoast Chapter of First Tee, a mentoring program to introduce youth to golf, now in its 21st year.

Amanda Cunningham is a Belfast native who graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington and now serves as executive director for Our Town Belfast. Before that, she served as the Community Coordinator at the Waldo County YMCA for five years.
