United Midcoast Charities announces new board member
United Midcoast Charities (UMC) announces the appointment of Karen Foxwell to its Board of Directors. With a lifelong commitment to community service, Foxwell brings five decades of volunteer experience to the organization, reinforcing its mission to support and uplift the Midcoast community.
“When the opportunity to join the United Midcoast Charities Board presented itself, I jumped on it," said Foxwell. "I am thrilled to be part of such an important resource in the community."
Foxwell earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maine, Farmington, and has devoted her time to various nonprofit initiatives throughout her career. Her passion for service and dedication to strengthening local resources made her decision to join the United Midcoast Charities Board an exciting opportunity.
"Karen has been a force for good in the community for decades, and we are fortunate to have her insight and energy on the board," said Becca Gildred, executive director. "Her passion for service is contagious, and I know she will help strengthen the impact of United Midcoast Charities."
A resident of Northport, Foxwell enjoys spending time with her “furry family,” gardening, and traveling. Her diverse experiences and unwavering commitment to service will be invaluable in advancing UMC’s mission.
