A tree falling on a power line on property abutting Route 1 (Commercial Street near Down East magazine) in Rockport has caused an electrical outage affecting approximately 1,023 customers.

Central Maine Power has notified customers that electricity should be restored by 2:45 p.m.

Winds have been gusting out of the west, up to 35 mph, throughout the day Saturday, March 6.
