Traffic cameras to be installed on Maine's I-295 and I-95
CUMBERLAND, KENNEBEC, and SOMERSET COUNTIES — The Maine Department of Transportation will be installing traffic cameras on I-295 and I-95.
Work on I-295 will take place at Exit 10 in Falmouth, Exit 15 in Cumberland, and Exit 20 in Freeport.
Work on I-95 will occur in Augusta at Exit 109 and Exit 112, Exit 120 in Sidney, Exits 127 and 130 in Waterville, and Exit 133 in Fairfield.
Work is scheduled to begin Monday, July 28, and to be finished by October 30, 2025. Motorists traveling along the interstate should expect closure of shoulders in project areas. Night work will be conducted as well.
"The project will improve Interstate Highway safety conditions," said MDOT, in a news release.
The contractor on this project is Electric Light, Inc. of Cape Neddick, Maine. The contract amount is $969,000.00
