UNION — Due to a resignation from the select board, the Town of Union select board voted to hold a special election to fill the position with a term ending June 2023.

The board also voted to fill this position in a shortened time frame as allowed by law, according to a news release. 

Nomination papers will be available beginning Monday, June 13 and will be due by Thursday, June 30. 

Absentee ballots will be available beginning Tuesday, July 5 through Thursday, August 4. 

The special election will be held Tuesday, Aug. 9 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the William L. Pullen Municipal Building meeting room.
