Tired whine
In your January 18 article on Nordic Aquafarms abandoning its planned $500 million industrial fish farm in Belfast, Nordic is quoted as saying that, “While a few may view this as a victory, we argue that this is a significant loss overall, not just for Nordic Aquafarms but for the community.”
This notion of “a few” Nordic opponents is the same old tired Nordic whine we've been hearing for years. Never mind that when the Belfast City Council made a zoning change to accommodate Nordic, public comment ran 130-0 against Nordic.
And why did Nordic years ago stop having public information meetings? Is it because, as meeting videos on the City of Belfast website clearly show, a large majority of speakers spoke against the project?
Besides, what does it say about Nordic's management if it couldn't handle “a few” opponents?
