Thomaston Place Auction staff donates to Pope Memorial animal shelter

On Friday, Dec. 16, Thomaston Place Auction Galleries employees gathered for their annual Christmas lunch while they assembled gifts of food, toys, and other items for the animals at the Pope Memorial Humane Society.
“We agreed that donating to the Shelter was a wonderful idea for our holiday event because all of us at Thomaston Place are animal lovers,” said Kaja Veilleux, owner and auctioneer at Thomaston Place Auction Galleries, in a news release. “Our employees collectively have over 30 pets, many of which were adopted from local shelters. We have been supporters of Pope Memorial for over 25 years, and we will continue to do so.”
On behalf of the Thomaston Place staff, marketing associate and Pope Memorial volunteer Emma Testerman delivered the donations to the shelter Saturday, Dec. 17.
Along with their regular schedule of feature auctions, specialized events, and online sales, Thomaston Place Auction Galleries’ auctioneers assist Maine nonprofit organizations with fundraiser events and auctions throughout the year. Visit thomastonauction.com/community-events for more information.
