Teresa Ann Gray, obituary
WARREN — Teresa Ann (Martin) Gray, 49, of Warren, passed away on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 2016, at the Sussman House in Rockport. Born Aug. 6, 1965, in Little Falls, N.Y., she was one of four children of Shirley and Robert Martin of Deansboro, N.Y.
She married Blake Gray on Nov. 17, 1990.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Blake Gray; her daughter, Angela; her father, Robert Martin; her mother-in-law, Gertrude Garzarelli; her stepson, Jason Gray; her sister, Cathy Potter and her husband, Don; and her brothers, Lester Martin and Robert Martin Jr. Teresa was predeceased by her mother, Shirley Ann Martin in 2015.
In her early years, Teresa worked at the family business, L & C Auto, where she cleaned cars and did wet sanding; bussing at The Village Inn, Utica, N.Y.; cleaning with Sunshine Cleaners of South Portland in the 1990s; store worker at Reny's in Camden; and as an electronics assembler with Elscott in Ellsworth and Tibbett's Industries in Camden, where she recieved two safety awards. She was studying for a GED certificate.
Teresa's hobbies included ceramics, woodworking, gardening, learning to play saxophone, doing word search puzzle books and cooking. She enjoyed trips to the mountains of New Hampshire and Maine, and the coastal waters and islands of Penobscot Bay on a small cabin cruiser and various sailboats with Blake. She loved the smell of the spruce trees and salt of the sea.
Teresa made time to spend with her loving daughter, Angela, attending softball games, drama plays at school, taking her to the library, stores in Camden and getting ice cream there. She enjoyed movies, holiday parties, and Funtown Splashtown with Jason and Angela, braving the Tornado water slide there.
In her later years she loved to go to fairs, look at the knick knacks, the Maine Lobster Festival and the Thomaston July 4th to see the Fireworks. She sang Karaoke while visiting her relatives in New York. Some summers with Cathy and Lester were most memorable, including trips around New York, Bar Harbor, Maine, and mini golfing.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
