Superintendent candidate interviews to begin with Five Town CSD/Camden-Rockport school boards
On Jan. 7, the Five Town CSD Board of Directors, which governs Camden Hills Regional High School, will convene from 4 to 6 p.m. in the high school Commons for an executive session to discuss interviews of new superintendent candidates.
Current Five Town CSD and School Administrative District 28 (Camden-Rockport K-8) Superintendent Maria Libby announced her retirement last fall, and which is to take place at the end of the 2026 School Year, in June.
The boards had made that announcement at the end of August.
The Jan. 7 meeting comes after a national search, said CSD Board Chair Marcus Mrowka.
Now, it is time for the Superintendent Hiring Committee, comprising board members, parents, educators, and administrators to begin the interview process of candidates, he said, Jan. 2.
"The Board will then interview the finalists selected by the Hiring Committee, possibly during this Special Board Meeting," said Mrowka. "The process was also informed by several community and educator listening sessions and a community survey. We hope to announce our new Superintendent soon, and we are thankful to those who shared their input and contributed to the process."
