Storm delays, closings, cancellations: town offices, Knox County courts, state offices and legislature, Belfast vaccination clinic, and more

    The Mid-Coast Solid Waste Facility in Rockport will not open until 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16, due to weather conditions.

    Due to the pending weather forecast the Rockland Planning Board meeting that was scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 16, has been postponed. The Habitat review and site visit at 165 Talbot Ave will be on March 2, 2021. Riverwood Subdivision was originally on this agenda, but has been postponed until March 16, 2021 due to scheduling conflicts.

    MaineHealth’s Belfast COVID Vaccination Clinic rescheduled. In an effort to keep the community safe in challenging weather, MaineHealth has cancelled the Belfast COVID-19 vaccine clinic scheduled Tuesday, Feb. 16.

    “If you are one of the affected patients, we will call to reschedule your appointment to the same time on Wednesday, Feb. 17,” said MaineHealth, in a news release. “We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. If this new time does not work for you, please call us at 1-877-780-7545 to reschedule. Thank you for your flexibility.”

    The Rockport Town Office and Library will remain closed all day, Tuesday, February 16, due to inclement weather. 

    Due to inclement weather, State of Maine offices will be closed on Tuesday, February 16.

    The Knox County Administrative Offices, Knox County Superior Court, and Rockland District Court will all be closed Tuesday, February 16, 2021 due to the weather.  They will re-open on Wednesday February 17, 2021 at 8 a.m.

    Due to the inclement weather, Belfast City Hall and non-essential City facilities will be closed Tuesday, February 16, 2021. All City facilities will reopen for regular business hours on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

    Maine State Legislature offices are closed due to winter storm. Legislative Committee meetings are postponed.

    The Town Office in Owls Head will open at 12 noon due to weather conditions.

    Due to the inclement weather Belfast City Hall and non-essential City facilities will be closed Tuesday, February 16. All City facilities will reopen for regular business hours on Wednesday, February 17.

    St. George Town Office and Transfer Station will be closed until Noon.
