WALDO — A Stockton Springs man has died following a motorcycle crash on the Waldo Station Road, in Waldo, Tuesday evening.

On August 18, 2020 at approximately 11:05 p.m., Waldo County Regional Communication Center received a call about a single unit motorcycle crash. 

Arriving on scene, deputies from the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office found Shawn Gerry, 51, of Stockton Springs. 

According to Waldo County Sheriff Jeff Trafton, deputies continue to investigate the circumstances that led up to Gerry having gone off the roadway along the right shoulder and striking a mailbox post before coming to rest in the ditch.

“Gerry sustained serious injuries that led to his death after being transported by ambulance for medical attention,” said Trafton.
