    SEARSPORT — Take and make kits, DIY together over Zoom, meet other homeschoolers online through Carver Memorial Library, in Searsport. 

    DIY Kit series
    New teen/adult DIY Kits become available on the last Thursday of the month. These are kits for fun projects you can do at home, and they include instructions and supplies.
    This month: macramé jam jar plant hangers
    Next month: pressed leaf and flower suncatchers/bookmarks 

    DIY Together
    Thursday, Sept 3, at 3:30 p.m. Join the Crafternoon Zoom on the first Thursday of the month to do the DIY Kit project together, ask for help, or share your finished creation. All levels welcome! Join Zoom Meeting (link should work for recurring Crafternoons.)

    Union Hall Book Club
    Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1 p.m. What have you been reading in lockdown? Let’s choose books to read together for the fall quarter — bring your nominations and your face mask. Location: Union Hall, upstairs at the Searsport Town Office, 1 Union Street.
    Homeschool Share and Connect
    Wednesday, September 9, at 2 p.m. Meet other homeschoolers on Zoom to learn about homeschool resources, share ideas, ask questions, and find other homeschoolers in the area. If it goes well, it could become an ongoing group for support or learning together—whatever works best for folks interested.

    Take and Make Kits

    New kits become available on the first and third Friday of the month in the Children’s Room. These kits are aimed at ages 4-9 and their caregivers, though they may be fun for older or younger ones as well. These kits are for projects you can do at home, often have a STEAM theme, and they include instructions and supplies.
