Senator Chip Curry keeps his focus on Waldo County’s rural economy with policies that benefit all in his district
Maine Senator Chip Curry is running for reelection in Senate District 11 in Waldo County. He has held this seat since 2020 when he assumed office and is doing a fantastic job of looking out for all Waldo County residents, whom he represents. Chip has my vote in November for a third term.
Chip listens to his constituents when they have an issue that the Legislature can help with. For instance, during my efforts to lower our property taxes vis-a-vis the RSU 3 school district budget, which is the main cause of our year-to-year significant property tax increases, Chip sat down with me one-on-one and listened as I explained the flaws in our current property tax system.
Unlike our incumbent MAGA Republican representatives (Katrina Smith, District 62; Reagan Paul, District 37, and Benjamin Hymes, District 38), who pursue national level MAGA politics instead of meeting the needs of their constituents, Senator Curry keeps his focus on Waldo County’s rural economy with policies that benefit everyone in his district. He has been a stalwart supporter of expanding broadband in Waldo and providing educational opportunities which open doors to good paying jobs right here in Waldo County.
Chip understands that we have an incredible opportunity to create our own renewable energy and the good jobs that go with it instead of sending billions of dollars out of state each year. Along these lines, he supports development of sea-based wind turbines manufactured right here in Maine.
Join me in reelecting Senator Curry November 5!
