Sen. Curry to host public office hours
SEARSMONT — Senator Chip Curry, D-Belfast, will hold in-person public office hours from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 at Threshers Brewing Company in Searsmont.
Office hours will immediately follow Sen. Curry joining members of the community to volunteer with the Waldo County Woodshed. The Waldo County Woodshed is a non-profit group that works to provide free firewood for those in need across Waldo County.
If you would like to volunteer time or resources, please check out their website or Facebook page. Requests for firewood assistance opened on Monday, Oct. 18, and wood becomes available to residents Saturday, Nov. 6.
Public office hours provide residents a chance to meet with their elected officials, ask questions and get help with legislative or state government matters.
