SEARSPORT — Carver Memorial Library is exhibiting art from Searsport school students as the first show in the new downstairs hall gallery. Thanks to the work of a dedicated volunteer, the hallway now has a fresh coat of paint, picture molding, frames, and hanging hardware, according to the library, in a news release. With the gallery hall ready to go, the library plans to host more shows in the future.

Students from Searsport elementary, middle, and high school contributed artwork to the show. Painting on canvas, watercolors, and drawing are all represented.

The students’ art will be displayed through the end of May.

“Come see what our local students have created!” said CML.
