Cuts in international funding for programs that help the neediest people in the most impoverished parts of the world make this a most compelling project to provide healthcare to the community of Cap Haitien.
A raffle of four pieces of original artwork with tickets available for purchase online ($20, 3 for $50 or 6 for $100) is taking place and the winning tickets will be drawn later in the spring.
An elegant cedar woodcarving of an egret by David Sears, as well as a framed painting on board depicting French & Brawn Marketplace by Christina Eckerson, a diptych pastel, matted and framed,of puffins by the late Paul Plante and a Haitian-made hammered steel wall hanging are the pieces being raffled.
