Ryan Staples, obituary

Fri, 09/18/2020 - 3:45pm

Ryan Staples, 40, died August 1, 2020 in Arizona due to hernia complications.

He was born May 13, 1980 in Tacoma, Washington to Donna Carleton Fowler and Anthony Staples.

Ryan is predeceased by his father, Anthony Staples; uncles Albert (Pete) Carleton, Stephen Carleton, and Paul Carleton, and his best buddy, Jason Moody.

He is survived by his mom, Donna Carleton Fowler; brothers Nathan Staples and Joseph Decibus; sisters Karena Staples and Kristen Staples; uncles Roland and John Staples and Michael Haynes; aunt Kathy Farrin; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; three great aunts and one great-great aunt.

Ryan was a free spirit and traveled across the USA, making friends and finding adventures along the way. He was a carpenter by trade, but his passion was for rocks and gems. He’d travel anywhere to dig in a mine. Always finding “treasures.” Maybe a gem or maybe a stone that “spoke to him.” He made unique jewelry to sell to his internet fans.

He loved his family and everyone he met became family. He had a very special girlfriend named Carrie Barrage in Arizona. He had found his “gem.”

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
