Rosalie B. Grindle, obituary
ROCKLAND — Rosalie B. Grindle passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, in Rockland, with her family by her side. She was born on October 30, 1930, in Brooksville, Maine, to Alden W. Sewall and Ruby Billings Sewall.
On December 12, 1952, Rosalie married Victor C. Grindle Jr., with whom she shared many cherished years until his passing in 2007. She worked as a dedicated retail clerk throughout her life at local stores.
Rosalie was an active member of her community and participated in several organizations including the Red Hat Society, the VFW, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She especially enjoyed Saturday nights playing cards with friends—moments that brought joy and laughter to her life.
She was predeceased by her husband, Victor; her son, Bradford; her grandson Ted Wood; and two great-grandchildren.
Rosalie is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Cheryl Perry of Dracut, Massachusetts and Wanda Grindle of Rockport, along with ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren, as well as two brothers, Adrian Sewall of Herman, Maine and Anthony Sewall of Gray, Maine.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 14, at 2 p.m., at Seaview Cemetery, in Rockport.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pen Bay Christian School Scholarship Fund.
