Thanks to a group of volunteers who showed up Nov. 4 to apply stain to the fence along the upper border of Mary Lea Park, the park is getting spruced up.

“Although it is not the most beautiful fence from an architectural standpoint, a fresh coat of stain works wonders,” said Rockport Select Board member Doug Cole.

Volunteers included Rockport residents Denise Kennedy-Munger, Burke Munger, Doug Cole, and Haunani Wallace, and from Camden, Terry and Sandy Hurlbutt.
