Rockport Garden Club announces Executive Board for 2023

ROCKPORT — The Rockport Garden Club announces the Executive Board for 2023.

Gail Galloway Nicholson and Susan Freeman will serve as Co-Presidents.

Galloway Nicholson has served as Membership Chair for many gardening seasons.

Susan Freeman has, formerly, served as President and Secretary.

Maureen O’Connell, an estate lawyer from Santa Clara County, will serve as Vice President.

Helen Kuhl, a long time member, who has served the club in every capacity, returns for her fourth term as Recording Secretary.

Beth Winter has previously served as Treasurer and will resume that office.

Cynthia Rocknak, another long term member, “with a wonderful history of service in leadership,” according to the Rockport Garden Club, in a news release, will serve as Corresponding Secretary.  
 
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month. The first meeting of 2023 will be April 6, at 1 p.m., at the West Rockport Baptist Church, 545 Park St, Rockport, ME 04856. All are welcome.

 
Founded in 1934, the Rockport Garden Club, is committed to the Beautification of Rockport, planting and maintaining nine historical sites that complement Rockport Village, West Rockport and the incomparable Rockport Harbor. The club cultivates and encourages the art of gardening by beautifying the community. The Spring Plant Sale and the Holly Berry Fair are the club’s primary fundraisers, which support Beautification and Scholarship.
