ROCKLAND — The disruption of electrical power in Rockland, Thomaston, South Thomaston and a portion of Rockport is due to Central Maine Power work at the Park Street substation in Rockport.
There, a CMP crew has been installing new switches and making system upgrades. In doing so, the switch over between transformers caused a malfunction, according to CMP Communications Director Jonathan Breed.
The power outage last week in the same vicinity was due to equipment failure, he said, and unrelated to today’s work.
