Rockland Library to host Earth Day Fair; participants sought

ROCKLAND — Local and national environmental and earth-centered organizations are invited to join Rockland Public Library, Great Old Broads for Wilderness, The Audubon Society, Friends of Maine Coastal Islands NWR, Sierra Club Maine, Georges River Land Trust, and the Midcoast Conservancy at an educational and celebratory event, which will take place on Earth Day – Monday, April 22, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., on the front lawn of the Rockland Public Library.

Throughout the entirety of the event, there will be a "Children of All Ages" tent with earth friendly crafts and information.

Participants are expected to provide their own tables and chairs, and a pop-up market style tent, as the event will be held no matter what the forecast.
