WARREN — Rockland’s own Rock Coast Roller Roller Derby is proud to announce their first recruitment session in two years.

The informational recruitment sessions will be held Feb. 12 and Feb. 19 at the Midcoast Athletics Center in Warren from 10 a.m. to noon.

The league is open to all genders, ages 18 and up. Skater membership is open to anyone 18+ who is a woman, transgender woman, intersex woman, as well as non-binary and gender-expansive individuals who feel most comfortable playing women’s roller derby.

Along with new skaters, the league is seeking new skating and non-skating officials.

Attendees can expect to meet the league’s current members, learn about the sport of roller derby and the league, have a quick workout, try on some roller derby gear, and have some time to skate. Pre-registration is required and can be done on Rock Coast Roller Derby’s website.

Rock Coast Roller Derby is a skater-owned 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that empowers its members to be strong, healthy, and confident while providing a fun, safe, competitive, and social outlet through the sport of roller derby. Rock Coast Roller Derby was founded in 2011 and has been proud members of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) since 2014.
