Robert H. Lavoie, obituary
Robert H. Lavoie, 74, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2017, at the Sussman House in Rockport, after a brief illness. Bob was born Aug. 5, 1942, in Brunswick, to Robert and Ethel Hutchinson Lavoie.
Bob attended Rockland High School and graduated from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in 1975. He worked over the years as a deputy with the Knox County Sheriff’'s Department and served as the chief of police in Thomaston.
For the last 25 years, Bob worked alongside his wife, Dolly Hall, in the antique business. Bob enjoyed working at their shop, Hall's Antiques, on Main Street in Rockland, and visiting with many friends and customers that would stop by.
Bob was an active member of the Tenants Harbor Baptist Church, where he readily volunteered wherever there was a need. He will be greatly missed by his church family and the men in the weekly Men's Bible Study.
Bob was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Edwin Lavoie. He is survived by his wife, Dolores (Dolly) Hall of Thomaston; a sister, Agnes Eagen of Rockland; a son, David Lavoie and his companion, Stephanie Pinkham, of Pittston; his grandchildren, Aaron, Shane and Taylor Lavoie; and his great-grandson, Jace. Bob is also survived by a daughter, Lynnette Lavoie and her companion, Chris Guilford, of Vinalhaven; his grandson, Devin Walker; and Bob's former wife, Sandra Lavoie; Dolly's sons, Fred Mank and his family of Waldoboro, and Tony Mank and his family of Chandler, Ariz.; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service to remember Bob will be held on Saturday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at the Tenants Harbor Baptist Church in Tenants Harbor.
