UNION — Richard Lewis Eaton, Sr., 70, of Union, passed away on June 23, 2017 at the Sussman House, in Rockport. Richard was born on July 17, 1946 along with his twin brother, Robert, in Camden, to Alphonso Eaton and Edith (Frost) Eaton.

Richard attended local Rockport schools. He worked at the Knox Mill, Crowe Rope and worked many years with Farley and Sons Landscaping with long time friends David and Carole Farley.

He loved to play cribbage, liar's poker, and up until his illness he belonged to the Warren Odd Fellows Lodge No. 127, the Grand Lodge of Maine and the Mystic Rebekah Lodge. He was the past Noble Grand of the Warren Odd Fellows.

Richard is predeceased by his parents. Alphonso and Edith Eaton, 14 brothers and sisters, his first wife, Elizabeth Cross Eaton, and infant daughter, Mellessa.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl (Stimpson) Eaton, of Union; son Richard Eaton, Jr., of Rockport; daughter Corinna Charette and husband, Brian, of Orono; son Guy Eaton and girlfriend Brooke Genthner, of Friendship; daughter Angel Grass and husband Jeremy, of Union; grandchildren, Ben, Lexi, Chyannah, Makayla, Jason, Parker, and Kaden; brothers Charles, Albert, Robert and David; sister-In-laws June and Bill Ingraham and Sharon and Buddy Pearrault, many nieces and nephews and lots of close friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Sea View Cemetery in Rockport at 1:30 p.m., Reverend Linwood Welch presiding.
