SPRUCE HEAD — The Craignair Gallery invites the public to the opening reception of Scenes from the Coast, an exhibition of fine art by Owls Head artist Lydia Kaeyer, on Wednesday, June 26, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Inspired by her love of the working waterfront, Kaeyer interprets the docks, boatyards, fishing boats, and local architecture of the Midcoast region in her unique watercolor paintings.

“I always look for the light and color as well as the connection between objects,” says the artist, in a Craignair Gallery news release.

“Kaeyer’s technique of mixing, layering and flowing watercolors create brilliant and lively renderings of her subjects,” said Craignair Gallery. “Her work preserves the character and history of Maine’s working waterfront.”
