THOMASTON — Watts Hall Community Players is presenting its annual community reading of Dylan Thomas’s A Child’s Christmas in Wales and is welcoming readers of all ages. The text is divided into small chunks, sometimes a paragraph, but more likely a sentence, a phrase and maybe even just a word – and assigned to individuals rather randomly. Everything is read so there is no learning lines, no blocking, no acting skills needed and only 2 short rehearsals.

There will be only one performance on the afternoon of Sunday,  Dec. 17, in Watts Hall, Thomaston. The reading itself lasts about half an hour and will be followed by caroling, cookies, hot chocolate and good cheer.

“If you love this piece, or you ever thought you might like to be on stage but doubted your ability, time commitment or courage, this is for you,” said the Community Players, in a news release.
