The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers proposes to conduct maintenance dredging within the Isle au Haut Thoroughfare Federal Navigation Channel in Isle au Haut, ME. The proposal is to mechanically dredge approximately 3,355 cubic yards of sand, gravel, and cobble from shoaled areas totaling 1.2 acres to a depth of -6 feet mean lower low water (MLLW) plus one foot of required advanced maintenance and one foot of overdepth, to a maximum of -8 feet MLLW. Dredged material would be placed at the Flake Island Disposal Site.
