Twenty-four Downtown businesses are participating in a little friendly competition to see who has the best holiday window decoration.

In order to determine the winner, the nonprofit Our Town Belfast is looking for help for the public.

Vote for your favorite; the stakes are high. The winner takes home bragging rights and this handsome replica leg lamp, straight from A Christmas Story.

The public is encouraged to take a stroll downtown to view these windows in person as the pictures taken don't do any of these windows justice. While downtown, finish shopping at one of 35-plus locally owned retail shops or grab a meal at one of the restaurants.

Voting ends at midnight on December 19 and the winner will be announced on Dec. 20.
