Progressive Americana band Nefesh Mountain at Strand Theatre, Dec. 20
ROCKLAND — The New York based Progressive Americana group Nefesh Mountain Band will bring their “Love and Light Tour” to the Strand Theatre stage on Friday, Dec. 20, at 7:30 p.m.
For the past four years, the group has been hitting the road with their yearly “Love And Light Tour,” which aims to put forth messages of inclusivity, unity, diversity and love.
The Nefesh Mountain Band has been hailed as one of the formative boundary-pushing ensembles in roots music, according to the Strand, in a news release.
"The band’s creators and dynamic husband and wife team of Eric Lindberg and Doni Zasloff have created a sound all their own, blurring the lines between Americana, Bluegrass, Folk, Jazz and Blues as songwriters, instrumentalists and composers," said the Strand. "They are known for Zasloff’s strong, smokey, folksy vocals and Lindberg’s soulful and masterful skills on acoustic and electric guitars and banjo."
Nefesh Mountain has recorded and shared the stage with Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Bryan Sutton, John Doyle, Noam Pikelny (Punch Brothers), Mark Schatz (Bèla Fleck, Nickel Creek), Mike Gordon (Phish) and Tony Trischka, among many others.
Concert series sponsorship support has been generously provided by First National Bank and First National Wealth Management.
