Photographs by Vincente Spadafora on exhibit at Rockport library

"Then again, once more," a show of Vincente Spadafora’s contemporary color photography in handcrafted frames, will be on exhibit June 3-28, at the Rockport Public Library. Works will be shown in both the upper and lower levels of the library.
Vincente Spadafora (vin-cent spa-da-for-a) is a visual artist who transcribes scenes of impermanence through photography.
"In chance encounters, the ephemeral quality of nature contrasts our built landscapes creating a new dialog and sense of comfort," says Spadafora.
Color, ritual, and repeating characters (i.e. seagulls and traffic cones) make important appearances in the work. Spadafora lives on a small farm in Midcoast Maine and travels throughout the state searching for images.
Spadafora’s work has been shown at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the Old 77 Hotel, the Bakery Photo Collective, Sidle House Gallery, Katzman Contemporary, the Hubbell Brach Library, and various online publications including Noice Mag, Ambient Nights, and Broad Magazine.
