ROCKPORT — On April 22, volunteers from the Pen Bay Healthcare system were treated to a luncheon in their honor at the Samoset in Rockport. During the event, members of administration and department heads thanked the volunteers for their dedicated service.
Ages of volunteers ranged from post-high school years to citizens in their 90s. One volunteer has been volunteering regularly since 1979.
Along with front desk greeters, Emergency department assistants, and gift shop organizers, there were knitters and owners of dogs that participate in pet therapy.
