LINCOLNVILLE — Peggy Ellis Miller, 82, died with grace on Jan. 13, 2016, at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast.

Born in 1933 in Oklahoma, Peggy graduated from Shidler High School in Shidler, Okla. She enrolled in the nursing program at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, graduating with honors as a registered nurse. She was an intuitive caregiver with a gift for providing comfort.

Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Dr. John F. Miller; her brother, Kermit R. Ellis; and her parents, B.F. Ellis and Lena Belle Ellis.

Survivors include her son, John J. Miller of Lincolnville; her nieces, Kimberly Ellis Groom and Kirsten Ellis Pylant; her nephew, Cory Ellis; her sister-in-law, Jan Ellis; her cousins, Drucilla, Barbara, Joyce and Earlyne, the Millers of New Hampshire and Texas, the Weetes of New Hampshire and the Klaras Family of Waco, Texas. She loved them all very much.

A private service will be held when the ground thaws and the birds are singing.
