PBMC promotes Suzanne McKenzie, RN, to Endoscopy Department supervisor

ROCKPORT — Pen Bay Medical Center (PBMC) announces the promotion of Suzanne McKenzie, RN, to the position of Supervisor-Endo Clinical Care Coordinator within the Endoscopy department.

“Suzanne brings a wealth of experience and a strong dedication to her new role,” said Ellen Leone, RN, MSN, chief nursing officer of PBMC and Waldo County General Hospital, in a news release. “Having served as a staff nurse in the Endoscopy Unit for three-and-a-half years, she has consistently exhibited outstanding skills and commitment to patient care. In the past six months, Suzanne took on the role of interim supervisor/clinical care coordinator of Endoscopy, where she demonstrated her exceptional leadership qualities.”

McKenzie's journey at Pen Bay Medical Center reflects her dedication to nursing and patient well-being, according to PBMC. Prior to her new role, she served as an Endoscopy nurse at PBMC. She has also cared for patients as a member of the team at Pen Bay Pediatrics, a background in medical-surgical nursing and worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
