WALDO — Patrick H. Carrara Jr., 76, of Waldo, passed away comfortably on April 29, 2017, at home with his family and friends at his side. He was born May 22, 1940, the son of Patrick and Anne (Porcaro) Carrara Sr. Patrick grew up on the Bella Vista Farm on Island Street in Stoughton, Mass., where he later owned and operated B&C construction.

He loved deer hunting, bird watching and was famous for his garden and the tomatoes he raised.

Patrick was a die-hard New England sports fan including the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and the Bruins.

He was predeceased by his parents; and his son, Brian Carrara Sr.

Patrick is survived by his sons, Scott D. Carrara and his wife, Stephanie, and Patrick Carrara III and his wife, Jennifer, all of Stoughton, Mass..; his daughter-in-law, Karen Carrara Hodgdon and her husband, Ken, of Waldo; his sisters, Beverly Pellegrino of Stoughton, Mass., Ann Marie Carrara Anderson, formerly of Franklin, and Denise Carrara of Stoughton and Mattapoisett, Mass.; his grandchildren, Timothy, Brian Jr., Nicholas, Isabella and Angelina Carrara, and Taylor Hodgdon; his great-granddaughter, Leelai Mae; and many nieces and nephews; along with his two furry friends, Hawk and Ruger.

A graveside interment will be held Saturday, May 27, at 2 p.m. at the Carrara Family Cemetery, 275 Moosehead Trail in Waldo.
