Officers respond for Tip-A-Cop fundraiser Thomaston Applebee's

THOMASTON — On Thursday, May 26, at Applebee's of Thomaston local law enforcement officers and the wait staff raised $2018 for Special Olympics Maine.
The annual Tip-A-Cop event had been canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID.
Several local Special Olympic athletes attended the event and the Applebee's crew were excited to host and revive the fundraiser, according to local Tip-A-Cop coordinator Troy Peasley, of the Rockland Police Department.
Police officers are the international guardians of the flame for Special Olympics.
