The first time the two teams meet the Mariners came out on top 6-5. The Windjammers and the Mariners had both been on a little bit of a roll lately so everyone knew this should be a good game.

"Ryan Allender was solid again for us as he kept Camden off balance all game long, with the exception of the third when we committed three errors behind him," said Oceanside manager Don Shields . "Offensively we capitalized on a couple of errors in the first and got a couple of hits to give us an early lead. And then in the sixth we added two runs and I felt that put the game away with big hits from Ryan and Travis Frye. Every time you beat a quality team like Camden it’s a great win for your team."
