Oceanside Little League visits Portland Sea Dogs, parade field before first pitch




Oceanside Little League baseball and softball players, along with their coaches and families, attended a Portland Sea Dogs baseball game on June 22. The Sea Dogs are a minor league affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
Highlights of the day, besides the game, included parading around the field prior to the first pitch, having the league name appear on the jumbotron and running the bases post-game. Emma Morrison was also selected to announce the Sea Dog batters in the bottom of the third inning.
The Sea Dogs fell to the Altoona Curve, a minor league affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, 5-4.
Oceanside Little League fans contributed to the announced sellout crowd of 7,368.
