Thomas J. Siske, obituary
CAMDEN — Capt. Thomas J. Siske, 80, of Camden, died Saturday, April 19, 2025 aboard his Pinky schooner, Prophet, in Camden. Tom was a well-known person around Camden Harbor, the Midcoast, and along the Coast of Maine. He was born in Michigan and served in the U.S. Navy in Viet Nam.
Captain Tom built his boat in Hope with over 9,000 hours of labor, and hand crafted most everything on the boat. Tom enjoyed his life living year-round aboard his 40-foot schooner.
PROPHET is a replica wood cod fishing schooner with a cargo hold that can hold about two cords of wood. Tom sailed the vessel up and down the Maine coast and always looked forward to sailing the boat in Camden's annual Windjammer festival each year. Tom was self-employed furniture maker and could build just about anything.
Friends are invited to attend a time of remembrance from Friday, April 25, 2025, from 5:45 - 8 p.m., at the Camden Public Landing. Condolences may be shared at longfuneralhomecamden.com.
