ROCKLAND — Located on Orient Street, this summer’s newest mural was initiated by the Rock City Employee Cooperative with a request and invitation to the Arts in Action Community Mural program to create an original public artwork for the exterior of Hello Hello Books and Rock City Café.

Local youth from Oceanside High School (enrolled in AiA's Mural Program) formed a design crew and spent the winter and spring of this year in a workshop developing collaborative concepts on the theme of "Coming Together" presented by Ryan Jackson of the Rock City Employee Cooperative.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join members of this design crew and mural artists in pre-registered shifts from July 26 to August 21. To participate in this FREE program and support youth artists, contact AiA Mural Director, Alexis Iammarino, to register or learn about available volunteer shifts. Text or call #207-370-9455 or email: rasaartsinaction@gmail.com, or sign up with a GOOGLE FORM REGISTRATION: https://forms.gle/XynNmq6UjGegn6ir7.

Arts in Action is a program of RSU13 Adult and Community Education with support from the ANONIMO Foundation.
