THOMASTON – The Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County would like to welcome our new, highly anticipated Volunteer Coordinator Kelly Gould. Kelly's previous experience ranges from running her farm raising Katahdin sheep, running her cattle dogs at stock dog trials, coordinating the plant sale for the Belfast Garden Club, and as a current member of the Maine bar clerking the Waldo County Probates Court for Judge Susan Longley. She is also currently the Lincolnville representative for the CSD five town School Board. We are excited to have her joining the team as we revitalize our volunteer program. Kelly is ready for the challenge of building a new program as we move to the newly constructed shelter this spring. "What better organization to work for than one that cares for neglected animals? I am excited to be a part of these big changes that will help to further improve the services we provide."

We also welcome our new Community Events Coordinator, Anna Adams. Anna has just begun work at the shelter and is beginning to schedule some fun events for the upcoming year. Anna is coming to us with a background of event and program management. No stranger to the non-profit sector, her previous work includes being the Stewardship Coordinator for various Friends organizations in conjunction with the National Park Service. "It seems like a hardworking and heartwarming organization, and I am glad to be a part of their mission. It is very fulfilling to work in service of those who can't speak for themselves," said Anna Adams in a news release.

"We are very excited to welcome Anna and Kelly to the PMHSKC team. Their talent, creativity and enthusiasm will be a wonderful addition to our dedicated staff as we build and enhance our volunteer and community engagement to save more lives and create more families," said Tracy Sala, Executive Director.
