ROCKPORT — Registration for the first three weeks of April pickleball opens Wednesday, March 29 at 8 a.m. 

Spots for the April 1-21 timeframe will be limited and are expected to fill quickly. The MRC recommends registering through its website, midcoastrec.org, to ensure one gets all of the desired dates. 

Pickleball will move into the arena at the end of April, thus causing the open play schedule to change. As such, a new schedule will be published before the next registration date. 

The MRC would also like to congratulate its mixed doubles winners: Dave Perry and Karen Higgins in the 3.0 Division and Anne Aldrige-Peacock and Jake Lee in the 4.0 Division. 

A 120+ tournament will be held for all levels Sunday, April 16. The combined age of the doubles team must be 120 years or older. Cost will be $50 per team. 

The event will be a round robin tournament with single elimination playoffs. Number of teams will determine format and number of games played. The event will begin at noon.
